stonehenge. stourhead. wells.

well its late again
and i want to blog so bad - mainly so that i dont forget things, but i will be so dang tired tomorrow. so here are some pictures. we went to stonehenge today. it was cool!! but honestly, not what i was expecting. it was kind of small..but our group got to go inside the ropes and touch the rocks, which not everybody gets to do!! so that was super awesome. then we went to wells and stourhead. it was a super fun day. i love the english countryside. it is so different from london. it is my new favorite place. i love it. parts remind of a little of north carolina :] it made me think of my sweet boy who is back there. ill write soon about our fabulous adventures!

kay seriously, i suck at climbing on things. so i think these picures are hilarious. maybe no one else laughs, but i laugh out loud every time. so at first i couldnt even get up...

then once i got up, i got stuck. if you can get up close, my face in these pictures is seriously hilarious.

this is at stourhead. this is the place where the raining proposal scene was filmed in the newer version of pride and prejudice. again i was trying to climb onto something and rachel thought that it was entertaining enough that she should take pictures...

stourhead is actually a huge garden built around a huge pond. it was beautiful!! this was inside the grotto. our favorite part of the garden. it was sooo beautiful! more pictures tomorrow. :]
this is at the bishops palace at wells. i was pretending to be a princess...but not so much pretending. it just comes naturally :] hah

last we went to this massive tower in the middle of the forest. it was 210 narrow steps to the top. and it was just a tower....for no particular reason. weird. it was quite the walk. i almost died. sam had to push me up the last few. but the view was beautiful.

more pictures and more details soon!! (but all anyone really cares about is pictures right? ha)

SA-WEET huh??
i was so excited.
i definitely found the major that is right me

hyde park & kensington gardens

getting on the lions at trafalgar square was definitely a two man job. but it was totally worth it. probably the highlight of my day in fact.
this is successfully on top of the monument at trafalgar square. it was a feat. it took a running start.

after trafalgar square we went to the national portrait gallery. it was really neat. i especially liked the contemporary gallery. it was really interesting to look at all of the different styles. its interesting to go to galleries and museums with a group of people because each person gets such different things out of each piece. it's fun. i like it :]
next we went on a MASSIVE walk through hyde park and kensington gardens. (and saw the peter pan statue) it was super fun. but hot. we stopped in the middle and fell asleep. i got a huge-o sunburn. it totally hurts. major bummer. note to self - no more impromptu naps in the park. but all in all - i think it was worth it? hopefully. my freckles are SO bright and freckly. its crazy. ive never seen them like this. i kind of dont like it. but i'll deal.

in front of kensington palace. in a few weeks we are going to do the tour with our fine arts class. it was super pretty and im excited.

waiting for a bus. another daily occurance.

it was a super fun day. completely exhausting. but it was fun. we walked so so so much.
tomorrow we are off to portobello road and greenwhich for a long adventure. im so excited.
updates tomorrow :]

here are pictures from Kensington Gardens & Hyde Park.

these are from last night's little adventure to little venice. it was so cute. there are also pictures from St. Mary's church which was on the little venice walk. it was beautiful and old. i loved it. i have recently developed a love for old churches.

ps. notice the TK Maxx. totally TJ Maxx, guess they just didn't want to be toooo American. hah. it was so funny when we saw it out of the bus window.
